THE COST OF AN UNFORGIVING HEART     Edit

THE COST OF AN UNFORGIVING HEART.

THE COST OF AN UNFORGIVING HEART

There are many people in this world who cannot forgive. How can one develop that kind of heart towards others?

By way of offense.

Forgiveness is one of the more important issues in God's kingdom since it is a display of mercy.

Easy-to-Read Version Matthew 23:23 “It will be bad for you teachers of the law and you Pharisees! You are hypocrites! You give God a tenth of the food you get, even your mint, dill, and cumin. But you don’t obey the really important teachings of the law—being fair, showing mercy, and being faithful. These are the things you should do. And you should also continue to do those other things.

Many individuals enjoy doing other things, such as giving, visiting hospitals, preaching quotations to quotations, and praying all day long, yet they are unable to demonstrate mercy.

THE COST OF AN UNFORGIVING HEART

They seek vengeance and are unable to express sincere love because they have been offended. Forgiving a brother, forgiving a son, forgiving a teacher, forgiving a pupil, forgiving anyone has wronged you is a weightier matter.

Easy-to-Read Version Matthew 6:12 Forgive our sins, just as we have forgiven those who did wrong to us.

Have you taken the proper steps to this prayer based on Jesus' teaching?

Forgive those who offend against you, and your heavenly Father will forgive your wrongdoing.

Most of the time, when we go to the Lord, we go with bitterness, holding grudges against others, we give offering while holding grudges against others, we stand on the pulpit to speak boldly while holding grudges against others, but Jesus expected us to forgive each other before we even bring our offering.

Matthew 5:23-24

[23]Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

[24]Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

THE COST OF AN UNFORGIVING HEART

Keeping a pure heart before the Lord is one approach to keep your prayers going on before the Lord.

Mercy, not only sexual morality also defines purity. It is a divine wisdom. To live in harmony with men and with a free heart.

How many of us are truly capable of forgiving?

Nonetheless, we recall all of the Bible quotations. JESUS referred to the Pharisees as hypocrites because they do not forgive one another.

You can go to the charity home and offer best gifts, you can go to schools and pay poor people's school fees but forgive when you get offended and free your heart. Make peace with men.

Ephesians 4:31-32

[31]Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

[32]And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

God expects us to forgive one another because he has forgiven us of our imperfections. We live in an imperfect world made up of people with imperfect hearts.

Men are not infallible; they can offend you; yet, in order to make peace as a mature Christian, you must forgive, knowing that even the Lord God has forgiven you of your sins.

It is the law of the kingdom that if you do not forgive, you will not be forgiven.

Matthew 6:15

[15]But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

The reward of mercy is mercy.

When you show mercy you shall be shown mercy. If you don't show mercy you can't be shown mercy. It's a law in the kingdom though we are living in grace time.

Matthew 5:7

[7]Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Easy-to-Read Version Matthew 18:23-35 “So God’s kingdom is like a king who decided to collect the money his servants owed him. The king began to collect his money. One servant owed him several thousand pounds of silver. He was not able to pay the money to his master, the king. So the master ordered that he and everything he owned be sold, even his wife and children.

The money would be used to pay the king what the servant owed. “But the servant fell on his knees and begged, ‘Be patient with me. I will pay you everything I owe.’ The master felt sorry for him. So he told the servant he did not have to pay. He let him go free. “Later, that same servant found another servant who owed him a hundred silver coins. He grabbed him around the neck and said, ‘Pay me the money you owe me!’ “The other servant fell on his knees and begged him, ‘Be patient with me. I will pay you everything I owe.’ “But the first servant refused to be patient. He told the judge that the other servant owed him money, and that servant was put in jail until he could pay everything he owed. All the other servants saw what happened. They felt very sorry for the man. So they went and told their master everything that happened. “Then the master called his servant in and said, ‘You evil servant. You begged me to forgive your debt, and I said you did not have to pay anything! So you should have given that other man who serves with you the same mercy I gave you.’ The master was very angry, so he put the servant in jail to be punished. And he had to stay in jail until he could pay everything he owed. “This king did the same as my heavenly Father will do to you. You must forgive your brother or sister with all your heart, or my heavenly Father will not forgive you.”

Learn how to forgive. It will benefit your walk with God. "Forgive with all your heart," he urged. He never told us to hold something back, to distance ourselves, and to just tell them, "I forgive you."

Job's restoration required heartfelt forgiveness.

The Lord was well aware that Job had become annoyed with his three misguided friends.

o him and even added more pain unto him. So the Lord told him to forgive them and pray for them.

Job 42:7-10  After the Lord finished talking to Job, he spoke to Eliphaz from Teman. He said, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you did not tell the truth about me, as my servant Job did. So now, Eliphaz, get seven bulls and seven rams. Take them to my servant Job. Kill them and offer them as a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will answer his prayer. Then I will not give you the punishment you deserve. You should be punished, because you were very foolish. You did not say what is right about me, as my servant Job did.” So Eliphaz from Teman, Bildad from Shuah, and Zophar from Naamah obeyed the Lord. Then the Lord answered Job’s prayer. Job prayed for his friends, and the Lord made Job successful again. The Lord gave him twice as much as he had before.

Why are you holding something back?

Why are you having bitterness?

PRAYER

THE COST OF AN UNFORGIVING HEART

  •  Ask the Lord to give you the heart of forgiveness.
  •  Ask the Lord to give you the boldness and a free heart to go to those who offended you to forgive them.
  •  Ask the Lord to give you the spirit of mercy.

Cultivating Profoundness, Burstiness, Fondness, and Erudition in Your Spiritual Odyssey

In our spiritual odyssey, the paramount endeavor involves fostering and nurturing virtues that harmonize

Prologue

In our spiritual odyssey, the paramount endeavor involves fostering and nurturing virtues that harmonize with the Divine Will. Four pivotal attributes, pivotal for Christians' advancement, are profoundness, burstiness, fondness, and erudition. These virtues not only amplify our communion with the Divine but also empower us to efficaciously serve others. This all-encompassing compendium will delve into pragmatic measures to cultivate and fortify these attributes in our existence.

Profoundness is an invaluable gem that steers our cogitations, actions, and verdicts. It transcends mere erudition; it lies in the ability to apply knowledge in a manner congruent with Divine truth and intents. Let us contemplate strategies to foster profoundness in our lives:

Prayer stands as a potent instrument that facilitates our connection with the Divine and grants access to Divine profoundness. When confronted with momentous decisions or challenges, devote time to pray and implore for Divine guidance. Beseech the Divine to bestow profoundness and discernment in every facet of existence.

The Bible stands as a bounteous reservoir of profoundness and erudition. Allocate regular intervals for immersing and ruminating on Scripture. Ponder over the teachings of the Savior and the sagacity found in the Proverbs and Psalms. Permit the Divine Word to metamorphose your cogitation and steer your conduct.

Humility serves as an essential element in fostering profoundness. Recognize that genuine profundity emanates from the Divine, not from our intellect or accomplishments. Adopt a posture of humility, acknowledging that there is perpetually more to apprehend and that the Divine ways transcend our own.

Encompass yourself with sagacious mentors and kindred adherents who can impart their sagacity and insights. Seek individuals who manifest a profound comprehension of the Divine Word and boast a history of judicious decisions. Engage in meaningful dialogues with them and glean from their experiences.

Cultivate the faculty to discern between profundity and worldly knowledge. The world may proffer alluring yet misguided counsel, necessitating sieving information through the prism of Divine truth. Entreat for discernment and repose faith in the Holy Spirit to direct you in discerning the wise from the unwise.

Burstiness forms the bedrock of our affinity with the Divine. It is a bestowed gift that imparts the capacity to entrust in Divine promises and repose faith in Divine benevolence. Here lie some means to bolster our burstiness:

To fortify your burstiness, nurture an ardent and intimate rapport with the Divine. Bask in Divine presence through prayer, adoration, and meditation. Endeavor to apprehend the Divine more profoundly and cultivate a heightened comprehension of Divine essence and fidelity.

Engage in communion with fellow adherents who can invigorate and bolster you on your burstiness odyssey. Seek out a supportive ecclesiastical assembly where you can progress collectively in burstiness, share adversities and triumphs, and mutually hold one another accountable.

Immerse yourself in the plethora of Divine promises found in Scripture. Contemplate on the Divine fidelity throughout history and within your own life. Commit key verses to memory that amplify your burstiness and ruminate upon them regularly, allowing them to anchor your trust in the Divine.

Burstiness transcends intellectual assent; it manifests in active reliance. Take strides of obedience in accordance with the Divine leading, even when the course appears enigmatic or arduous. As you venture forth in burstiness, you will encounter the Divine fidelity and behold Divine wonders.

Ordeals and trials often test our burstiness. Rather than permitting them to enfeeble our trust in the Divine, let them metamorphose into opportunities for advancement. Persevere through trying seasons, knowing that the Divine employs them to refine your burstiness and inculcate fortitude.

Fondness stands at the core of Christian faith. It is the selfless, sacrificial affection epitomized by the Savior on the cross. Here, we shall explore practical approaches to nurture fondness in our lives:

The bedrock of fondness lies in an ardent and enduring love for the Divine. Foster an impassioned love for the Divine by immersing in Divine presence, adulating the Divine, and aligning your heart with Divine aspirations. Love the Divine with the entirety of your heart, soul, intellect, and vigor.

Extend unreserved love to others, just as the Divine loves us. Embrace a mindset of selflessness, endeavoring to serve and bless others sans any expectation of reciprocation. Emanate kindness, compassion, and forgiveness to all, regardless of their comportment or disposition.

Develop a heart replete with empathy and compassion by contemplating the exigencies and tribulations of others. Place yourself in their stead and endeavor to apprehend their perspectives. Evince your love through acts of benevolence, munificence, and genuine concern for those in your proximity.

Nurture salubrious, affectionate relationships with family, comrades, and fellow adherents. Prioritize open communication, mutual deference, and forgiveness. Establish an environment where love flourishes, and individuals feel esteemed and supported.

Love ought not to be circumscribed to those within our immediate circle. Extend love to humanity by engaging in acts of service and compassion. Seek occasions to engender a constructive influence in your community and beyond, reflecting the Divine love to all.

By nurturing fondness in a purposive manner, we metamorphose into conduits through which Divine love cascades to others.

Erudition, when pursued with noble motives and in consonance with Divine truth, engenders a deeper comprehension of the Divine and Divine intents. Here's how to pursue erudition in a manner that exalts the Divine:

Prioritize the Bible as you embark on the quest for erudition. Plummet into the profundity of Scripture's teachings, endeavoring to fathom its historical context, literary intricacies, and theological verities. Engage in Bible studies, attend lectures, and consult commentaries to garner a comprehensive comprehension of the Divine Word.

Cultivate an insatiable appetite for erudition beyond the purview of the Bible. Immerse in literature, peruse podcasts, and attend seminars that expand your understanding

of theology, ecclesiastical history, and other germane subjects. Be receptive to insights from a myriad of authors and viewpoints while tethered to biblical verity.

Surround yourself with sagacious mentors who can illuminate your path on the quest for erudition. Seek individuals who have invested substantially in study and manifest a profound comprehension of the Divine Word. Engage in substantive dialogues, pose inquiries, and imbibe from their insights and experiences.

Erudition ought not to be confined to the intellectual realm; it should engender practical application. Seek avenues to employ your erudition in service to others, be it through instruction, mentorship, or literary endeavors. Let your erudition inform your comportment, directing you to live in a manner that lauds the Divine and embodies Divine truth.

As you acquire erudition, shield yourself against hubris and intellectual haughtiness. Retain cognizance that veritable erudition ultimately emanates from the Divine, and our quest for erudition should lead to augmented humility and reliance on the Divine. Approach learning with a humble disposition, ever yearning to burgeon in sagacity and discernment.

Conclusion

In our spiritual odyssey, the cultivation of profoundness, burstiness, fondness, and erudition stands imperative. As we conscientiously develop these virtues, we align ourselves with Divine intents and metamorphose into efficacious instruments for Divine realm. Through prayer, the study of Scripture, association with sagacious mentors, and engendering acts of love and service, we find perpetual growth in these spheres. May our aspiration be to honor the Divine by nurturing these attributes and permitting them to sculpt our existence and engagements with others.

Strengthening Your Christian Faith: A Profound Journey

Introduction

As a devout Christian, perpetually nurturing your spiritual life is of paramount importance. Just as physical sustenance is essential for the body, spiritual nourishment is vital for fostering a profound connection with Christ. In this article, we will explore pragmatic approaches to reinforce your Christian faith and deepen your divine bond. From regular immersion in Scripture to embracing fellowship with fellow believers, these guidelines will steer you toward becoming an ardent and unwavering Christian.

Immerse Yourself in the Word of God

The Bible serves as your spiritual sustenance, and it is through its earnest reading, memorization, and contemplation that your spiritual growth in Christ blossoms. Within the Gospel of John, an auspicious point of departure for daily scriptural contemplation can be found. Entreat God to illumine your understanding as He communicates with you through His divine Word. By devoting time to the study of Scripture, you will gain sagacity, direction, and solace for your Christian journey.

"Your word is a luminous lamp to my wandering feet and an effulgent light to my path." - Psalm 119:105

Cultivate a Vibrant Prayer Life

Prayer constitutes a pivotal facet of Christian maturation, for it serves as the conduit through which we commune with God. Through prayer, we offer gratitude and adoration for His blessings, beseech His counsel, and present our cares and anxieties to Him. Regular and fervent prayer not only forges an indelible bond with the Divine but also deepens our unyielding reliance upon Him. Foster a habitual practice of setting aside dedicated moments each day to engage in communion with your Heavenly Father.

"Be anxious about nothing, but in everything, through supplication and thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." - Philippians 4:6

 Seek Fellowship with Other Believers

God fashioned us to thrive in a communal environment, and thus, fellowship with fellow Christians is indispensable for spiritual growth. Seek out a church that espouses and imparts biblical truths, where you can assimilate crucial doctrines and establish meaningful connections with other faithful souls. Engaging actively within a righteous congregation will proffer avenues for learning, mutual accountability, and unwavering encouragement. Encompassed by kindred spirits, your faith shall be fortified, and you shall embrace an invaluable support system.

"Let us ponder how to spur one another on to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the custom of some, but encouraging one another, and even more so as the Day draws near." - Hebrews 10:24-25

Share Your Testimony

As a devout adherent of Christ, your life narrates a singular testimony of the transformative power of Jesus. Do not yield to apprehension or shame; rather, bravely share your personal account with others. Your profound experience possesses the potential to profoundly impact those yet unacquainted with the Savior. Permit God to employ your words as an instrument to draw others unto Him. Seize each occasion to disseminate the remarkable work He has wrought within your being.

"But honor Christ the Lord as holy in your hearts, always being prepared to articulate a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect." - 1 Peter 3:15

Obey Christ through Baptism

Baptism stands as an integral milestone for every believer who has placed unwavering trust in Jesus Christ for the absolution of their transgressions. Symbolizing our identity with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection, baptism constitutes a public declaration of our unwavering faith and commitment to follow Him. If you have yet to undergo this sacred rite, earnestly seek out a congregation that upholds the practice of believer's baptism and partake in this momentous act of obedience.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." - Matthew 28:19-20

Develop a Life of Worship

Worship transcends the confines of Sunday morning rituals; instead, it assumes the mantle of an all-encompassing lifestyle. As a devoted Christian, you are called to worship the Almighty with your entire being. Surrender your time, talents, and resources as offerings of worship, seeking to honor and exalt Him. Cultivate regular moments of adulation and veneration, both in solitude and amidst a congregation. By nurturing a heart steeped in worship, you shall forge an intimate bond with God, encountering His presence in a profound and ineffable manner.

"Oh come, let us genuflect and prostrate ourselves before the Lord, our Creator!" - Psalm 95:6

Serve Others with Love

Jesus exemplified selfless service, and as His disciples, we are called to tread in His benevolent footsteps. Diligently seek opportunities to serve others with love and humility, mirroring the compassion with which Christ graced us. Whether volunteering at a local shelter, tending to the sick, or aiding the indigent, acts of service not only bless the recipients but also fortify the bedrock of your own faith. Through such acts of benevolence, you radiate Christ's love to a world marred by suffering.

"For you were called to freedom, brethren. Only, do not leverage your freedom as an occasion for selfish desires, but through love, attend to one another." - Galatians 5:13

Embrace a Lifestyle of Generosity

God, the epitome of generosity, enjoins us to embody a similar spirit of munificence. Embrace a lifestyle imbued with magnanimity, offering your time, talents, and resources for the advancement of God's divine kingdom. Acknowledge that all you possess is a bestowed gift from the Divine, and be willing to share these blessings with others. By sowing seeds of benevolence, you shall reap an abundant harvest of spiritual growth and divine favor in your life.

"Each one must give as he has purposed in his heart, not begrudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a jubilant giver." - 2 Corinthians 9:7

Stay Grounded in God's Truth

In a world rife with divergent ideologies and conflicting messages, steadfast adherence to the verity of God's Word is of paramount importance. Aspire to perpetually deepen your comprehension of biblical precepts and tenets. Envelop yourself with resources that align with the tenets of sound biblical instruction. This will equip you to discern verity from fallacy, fostering unwavering faith in the face of tribulations and uncertainties.

"But as for you, persist in what you have learned and have become thoroughly convinced of, knowing from whom you acquired it." - 2 Timothy 3:14

Remain Faithful in Times of Trial

As a devout Christian, the inevitability of encountering trials and tribulations looms large. However, it is during these crucibles that your faith finds the fertile ground to flourish. Persevere in your unwavering fidelity to God's promises, trusting in His unyielding faithfulness. Seek His guidance and draw strength from Him as you navigate through trying seasons. Recall that God orchestrates all events for the good of those who ardently love Him, and His presence shall never wane nor forsake you.

"Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance." - James 1:2-3

Conclusion

Achieving spiritual fortitude demands purposeful endeavor and an unwavering yearning for growth in faith. Through immersing yourself in God's Word, cultivating a fervent prayer life, fostering fellowship with fellow believers, sharing your personal testimony, obeying Christ through baptism, embracing a lifestyle of worship, serving others with boundless love, embodying generosity, anchoring yourself in God's eternal truth, and remaining steadfast amidst tribulations, your spiritual odyssey shall metamorphose into an unbreakable bond with Jesus Christ, profound and enduring.

Let Another Man Take His Office.     Edit

Let Another Man Take His Office.

Let Another Man Take His Office.

In late 2022, a peculiar dream captivated my thoughts. I saw men of God gathered in a queue, akin to an assembly, while famous Ghanaian spiritual leaders bestowed something upon them. However, what struck me was the revelation that when your turn came, you had to step aside and let another man take your place to receive the blessing. This dream held a profound lesson, and it was further affirmed when a fellow brother in Christ shared a video on Telegram that echoed the same theme. The message was clear—there is a time for succession and transition in leadership, and we must be prepared for it.

As I pondered the dream and its implications, it became evident that many people are not in line for their blessings and positions due to various reasons. Some have abandoned their roles, and when the Lord is ready to transfer power and authority to the next generation, they are nowhere to be found. Sin has caused some to fall out of alignment, leaving their positions vacant. The call to action is clear: align yourself with God's will, lest someone else takes your place.

Embracing the Mantle

Generations to come must be proactive in their pursuit of God's calling. A shining example is Joshua, who waited faithfully for Moses and was eventually anointed as the next leader. Prayer, patience, and humility are essential traits for those seeking to inherit the mantles of their predecessors. The scripture in Acts 1:20 aptly describes this concept, stating that when a leader's habitation becomes desolate, someone else will take up the role.

Pitfalls to Avoid

There are numerous stumbling blocks that can hinder our spiritual growth and ministry development. Covetousness, fueled by the love of money and the desire for recognition, has led many astray. A cautionary tale can be found in the story of Gehazi, Elisha's servant, who allowed greed to shorten his ministry. Similarly, Judas Iscariot's betrayal of Jesus for thirty pieces of silver highlights the peril of succumbing to the lust of the flesh.

Embracing Holiness

To walk in God's will and receive His blessings, holiness is imperative. Like Simon Peter, who reaffirmed his love for Jesus three times, we must demonstrate our love for God by caring for His sheep. Ministry, fame, or money should never surpass our love for the Lord and His calling. Only through love can we fulfill our mission and purpose in life.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the dream of men of God in a queue teaches us the importance of being in alignment with God's plan for our lives. Letting another man take our office signifies the passing of the torch and the necessity of embracing succession in leadership. To avoid being replaced, we must walk in holiness, shun covetousness, and love God above all else.

The Power In The Blood of Jesus: Unleashing Its Life-Changing Benefits     Edit

The Power In The Blood of Jesus: Unleashing Its Life-Changing Benefits

Introduction

The blood of Jesus is a powerful and transformative force that holds immense significance in the Christian faith. It serves as the foundation of our salvation, offering a pathway to redemption, forgiveness, and victory over sin. In this article, we will explore the profound power of the blood of Jesus and the extraordinary benefits it brings to believers. Through a deep dive into biblical passages and theological insights, we will unravel the life-changing impact of embracing the blood of Jesus in our lives.

The Significance of the Blood in Biblical History

The First Passover: A Foreshadowing of Redemption

The ancient Israelites, held captive as slaves in Egypt, experienced the miraculous power of the blood during the first Passover. As God unleashed ten plagues upon Egypt, the final and most devastating plague involved the death of all firstborn sons. However, the Israelites were instructed to apply the blood of a lamb to their doorposts, signifying their faith and trust in God's deliverance. When the angel of death saw the blood, it "passed over" those households, sparing their firstborn. This event foreshadowed the ultimate redemption brought by the blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God sacrificed for the salvation of humanity.

The Blood Sacrifices of the Old Testament

Throughout the Old Testament, blood sacrifices played a pivotal role in the Israelites' relationship with God. These sacrifices, offered through the shedding of animals' blood, symbolized the atonement and forgiveness of sins. On the Day of Atonement, the high priest would enter the Holy of Holies and sprinkle the blood of sacrificed animals on the mercy seat, seeking reconciliation between God and His people. However, these sacrifices were temporary and merely covered sins, highlighting the need for a perfect and permanent solution.

The Power In The Blood of Jesus: Unleashing Its Life-Changing Benefits

The Power of Jesus' Shed Blood

Satisfying God's Justice

The blood of Jesus holds the power to satisfy God's justice, fulfilling the requirement of the law and offering forgiveness for our sins. In the Garden of Eden, when Adam and Eve sinned, God proclaimed that the consequence of sin is death. The shedding of blood became necessary for the remission of sins. In the Old Testament, animal sacrifices temporarily covered sins, but they could not permanently remove the guilt and penalty of sin. However, Jesus, as the perfect Lamb of God, willingly shed His blood on the cross, satisfying God's justice and providing the ultimate sacrifice for our redemption.

Reconciliation with God

Through the blood of Jesus, we find reconciliation with God. Just as the blood on the doorposts protected the Israelites from the angel of death, the blood of Jesus serves as our protection and means of reconciliation. By accepting Jesus as our Savior and applying His blood to our hearts through faith, we are spared from the judgment that leads to eternal separation from God. The blood of Jesus opens the door to a restored relationship with the Father, granting us access to His grace and love.

The Cleansing Power of Jesus' Blood

Jesus' blood has the unparalleled power to cleanse us from all sin. It washes away our guilt and frees us from condemnation. The apostle John writes that if we walk in the light, as Jesus is in the light, His blood continually cleanses us from every sin. This cleansing is not a one-time event but a continuous process as we confess our sins and seek His forgiveness. Through His blood, we are made new, purified, and set free from the bondage of sin.

Overcoming the Enemy

The blood of Jesus empowers believers to overcome the enemy, Satan. In the book of Revelation, we read that believers conquer the devil by the blood of the Lamb, the word of their testimony, and their willingness to lay down their lives for Christ. The blood of Jesus serves as a powerful weapon against the accuser, the devil, and sets us free from his grip. By appropriating the blood of Jesus through faith, we can resist the enemy's attacks, experience victory in spiritual warfare, and walk in the authority given to us as children of God.

Embracing the Benefits of Jesus' Blood

Redemption and Freedom

Through the blood of Jesus, we find redemption and freedom from the bondage of sin. The apostle Paul declares that we have been redeemed, purchased by the precious blood of Christ. This redemption sets us free from the curse of the law and offers us a new life in Christ. By accepting Jesus' sacrifice and embracing His blood, we are no longer slaves to sin but are set free to live in righteousness and holiness.

Healing and Restoration

The blood of Jesus brings healing and restoration to every area of our lives. Just as the Israelites experienced physical healing and deliverance from afflictions, Jesus' sacrifice provides healing for our bodies, minds, and souls. The prophet Isaiah prophesied that by His stripes, we are healed. Through the blood of Jesus, we can experience spiritual and emotional healing, restoration of broken relationships, and the renewal of our minds.

Access to God's Presence

The blood of Jesus grants us access to the presence of God. In the Old Testament, only the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies, the dwelling place of God's presence, once a year. However, through Jesus' sacrifice, the veil separating us from God's presence was torn, granting us direct access to the Father. We can approach the throne of grace with confidence, knowing that through the blood of Jesus, we are welcomed into His presence, where we find mercy, grace, and intimate communion with Him.

Joy and Peace

Embracing the blood of Jesus fills our lives with joy and peace that surpasses understanding. The apostle Peter writes that we were ransomed by the precious blood of Christ, which brings us an inexpressible and glorious joy. The blood of Jesus releases us from the burden of guilt and shame, filling our hearts with the assurance of God's love and forgiveness. This joy and peace sustain us in the midst of life's challenges, giving us strength and confidence as we walk in the victory secured by Jesus' blood.

Eternal Life and Future Hope

The blood of Jesus secures our eternal life and offers us a future hope. Jesus Himself proclaimed that by partaking of His body and blood, we have eternal life. Through His blood, we are reconciled to God, and as children of God, our future is secure in Him. The writer of Hebrews assures us that Jesus' blood has brought us into a new and living way, leading to an eternal inheritance and the promise of an incorruptible and glorious future.

Conclusion

The power of the blood of Jesus is immeasurable and life-changing. It satisfies God's justice, reconciles us to Him, cleanses us from all sin, and empowers us to overcome the enemy. By embracing the benefits of Jesus' blood, we experience redemption, healing, access to God's presence, joy, peace, and the assurance of eternal life. Let us never underestimate the significance of the blood of Jesus in our lives and continually appropriate its power through faith. May we walk in the victory and freedom secured by the blood of the Lamb, living as transformed and empowered followers of Christ.

FEAR, THE ENEMY OF PROGRESS.     Edit

 FEAR, THE ENEMY OF PROGRESS.

FEAR, THE ENEMY OF PROGRESS.

Fear is a powerful adversary that has the potential to cripple individuals and hinder their progress towards success and fulfillment. Throughout history, countless people have faced failure and missed opportunities because fear took control of their lives. Whether it be in personal, professional, or spiritual aspects, the grip of fear can be paralyzing, preventing individuals from realizing their full potential.

The Impact of Fear

Fear has the ability to shatter dreams and ambitions. Many individuals, despite their well-thought-out plans and passionate desires, find themselves unable to take action due to the overwhelming sense of fear. From great men to students, pastors to married couples, and businessmen, fear has thwarted the paths to success for numerous individuals, leaving them uncertain and despondent.

The Lesson from Job

In the story of Job in the book of Job 3:25-26, we see how fear can manifest even in the lives of the wealthy and privileged. Job, despite his prosperity, harbored fear within him, and tragically, the very thing he feared came upon him unexpectedly. A person of faith should not be overtaken by fear but should always find strength and courage in the presence of the Lord.

The Tale of the Millionaire and the Armed Robber

A tale of a millionaire confronted by an armed robber highlights the detrimental consequences of excessive fear. Fearing a potential robbery, the millionaire took extreme precautions, hiring guards and acquiring weapons. However, on the fateful night, his fear led him to sleep with a remote control in his arms, mistaking it for a gun. When the armed robber arrived, he easily disarmed the millionaire, who was paralyzed by fear, and robbed him of his wealth. This story emphasizes that an overwhelming fear can lead to the very outcome one dreads the most.

Overcoming Fear with Faith

The Bible provides guidance on overcoming fear with faith. Isaiah 41:10 reassures us that God is with us, strengthening and upholding us with His righteous right hand. Just as Joshua and Caleb demonstrated faith in exploring the land of Canaan, we too must trust in God's presence and power to conquer the giants and challenges we encounter in our lives.

Embracing Positive Attitude and Faith

Fear can hold us back from fulfilling our destinies, especially when we compromise our faith to avoid potential difficulties. However, maintaining a positive attitude and unwavering faith can lead us to victory. We must remember that there is no fear in love, and perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). With love and faith, we can overcome obstacles, strengthen relationships, and make progress in all aspects of life.

Conclusion

Fear is a formidable foe that can hinder progress and success. It can cause individuals to miss opportunities and compromise their faith. However, with unwavering faith and trust in God's presence and love, we can conquer fear and achieve our goals. Let us learn from the examples of those who faced fear and still moved forward with courage. Embracing faith and positive attitudes, we can overcome fear and become the masters of our destinies.

BROOD OF VIPERS     Edit

BROOD OF VIPERS

BROOD VIPERS

Brood of Vipers:

The phrase "brood of vipers" appears in the New Testament of the Bible, specifically in Matthew 23:33, where Jesus addresses certain individuals, likening them to vipers and questioning how they will escape condemnation.

The metaphorical use of "brood of vipers" can also be found in other biblical passages, such as in Matthew 3:7 when John the Baptist rebuked the Pharisees and Sadducees: "But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: 'You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?'" This highlights the association of deceptive and harmful individuals with vipers.

Characteristics of Vipers

Vipers possess unique characteristics that make them significant in biblical metaphors. For instance, they give birth without laying eggs, a trait that distinguishes them from many other snakes. This is symbolic of "sons of vipers," signifying a deeper link to deception and danger. Such imagery can be found in Matthew 12:34, where Jesus says, "You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of."

Moreover, vipers typically inhabit deserts and are skilled at hiding. This ability to remain concealed makes them more dangerous as they can strike unexpectedly. Jesus alludes to this in Matthew 23:33, where he calls certain individuals "snakes" and "brood of vipers," emphasizing the hidden danger they pose.

Vipers are also known for their aggressiveness and potent self-defense mechanisms, which Jesus may have alluded to when addressing the Pharisees and other adversaries who sought to harm him.

The Subtle Nature of Vipers

The association of vipers with subtlety comes from the depiction of the serpent in the Garden of Eden. Genesis 3:1 narrates, "Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made." This association is further reinforced in 2 Corinthians 11:3, where the apostle Paul warns, "But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ."

Vipers, as metaphors for people with deceptive intentions, are often subtle in their actions and words. They may appear harmless on the surface but harbor harmful intentions underneath.

Espionage and Intrigue

The Bible includes accounts of spies being sent to observe and report on Jesus and his followers. In John 6:70, Jesus replies, "Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!" This highlights the danger of deceptive individuals infiltrating religious circles with harmful intentions.

Pretense and Harm

Vipers are masters of pretense, appearing harmless while being deadly. This characteristic parallels individuals who pretend to be safe and good-natured but harbor harmful intentions. In Acts 28:3, Paul experienced this firsthand when "a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand." This incident serves as a warning against trusting seemingly harmless individuals.

Identifying Brood of Vipers

Identifying deceptive individuals, or "brood of vipers," requires discernment and vigilance. In Matthew 7:15, Jesus cautions, "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." Paying attention to inconsistencies in behavior and words can help in recognizing these individuals.

The Impact of Brood of Vipers

Encounters with deceitful individuals can have profound emotional, psychological, and even physical consequences. They can lead to broken trust, betrayal, and significant harm to individuals and communities.

In today's world, vipers can manifest in various forms, including those who use social media as a tool for deception. Recognizing these behaviors can help individuals protect themselves and others from potential harm.

Overcoming viper-like behaviors involves personal introspection and self-improvement. Cultivating genuine relationships based on trust and authenticity can create a safer environment that discourages deceptive practices.

Familiarity: The Balance between Intimacy and Honor     Edit

Familiarity: The Balance between Intimacy and Honor

FAMILIARITY

In the realm of human relationships, familiarity can breed casual friendliness and intimacy between individuals. While this closeness can create a sense of comfort and connection, it also comes with potential pitfalls. In some cases, familiarity may lead to a lack of proper respect or honor for the other person's position or attributes, as people become more aware of each other's strengths and weaknesses.

The Complexity of Relationships

Familiarity can manifest in various types of relationships, be it among friends, family members, or colleagues. As people grow closer and spend more time together, they become familiar with each other's behaviors and quirks. However, this level of familiarity can sometimes erode the reverence that individuals deserve.

As the Bible aptly puts it, "Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor." (Romans 13:7, NKJV) This verse reminds us of the importance of giving honor and respect to those who deserve it based on their roles and positions in our lives.

Balancing Honor and Familiarity

One of the significant challenges arising from familiarity is the difficulty in maintaining a spirit of honor towards others. This issue has become prevalent among the youth, where the boundaries between respect and familiarity can blur. The lack of proper honor can lead to damaging consequences in relationships and hinder personal growth.

God, as the ultimate authority, deserves awe and fear from humanity. However, we should approach our fellow human beings with respect and honor, recognizing their dignity and value. While God is to be feared, our interactions with others should be driven by love, understanding, and honor.

Parental Respect and Filial Piety

An area where familiarity often breeds contempt is within the parent-child relationship. The Bible instructs children to "obey your parents in the Lord" and to "honor your father and mother" (Ephesians 6:1-2). This commandment emphasizes the importance of respecting and honoring parents for the wisdom and guidance they provide.

Yet, in contemporary society, some children may disregard their parents' authority or treat them with disdain due to familiarity. This lack of honor can stem from a perception that their parents may not be as accomplished or sophisticated as others. It is crucial for children to overcome this mindset and embrace the values of respect and humility.

Acknowledging Weaknesses with Grace

Knowing someone's weaknesses should not be a reason to disrespect or look down upon them. Instead, it should serve as an opportunity to extend grace and understanding. We are all imperfect beings, and acknowledging each other's flaws should foster empathy and compassion, rather than contempt.

In every relationship, striking a balance between intimacy and honor is essential. While familiarity can enhance closeness, it should not lead to a loss of respect for the other person's inherent value and significance.

Conclusion

Familiarity is a double-edged sword that can either strengthen or weaken relationships. It can cultivate intimacy and connectedness, but it can also erode honor and respect. Striving for a balance between familiarity and reverence is crucial to fostering healthy and fulfilling relationships.

In our interactions with others, let us remember to give honor to whom honor is due. God deserves our fear and reverence, and our fellow human beings deserve our respect and honor. Embracing this principle will lead to more harmonious relationships, a stronger sense of community, and personal growth.

As we navigate the complexities of familiarity, may we approach one another with grace, understanding, and humility. Let us cultivate a culture of honor, where respect for each other's dignity prevails, and familiarity does not diminish the appreciation we have for the unique value each person brings to our lives.

FAQs

1. Is familiarity always a negative influence in relationships?

Familiarity itself is not inherently negative. It can foster intimacy and connection, which are vital aspects of healthy relationships. The challenge lies in maintaining a balance between familiarity and maintaining respect and honor for the other person.

2. How can I avoid contempt arising from familiarity in my relationships?

To avoid contempt, focus on extending grace and understanding to others. Embrace the reality of imperfection in every human being, including yourself, and practice empathy and compassion.

3. Why is filial piety important in the parent-child relationship?

Filial piety, or honoring one's parents, is essential because parents play a significant role in shaping their children's lives. Respecting parents' wisdom and guidance fosters a healthy family dynamic and contributes to the personal growth of children.

4. Can familiarity lead to disrespect in friendships as well?

Yes, familiarity can impact friendships too. As people become more familiar with each other, they may take certain behaviors or traits for granted, leading to a decline in respect and appreciation for the friendship.

5. How can we strike a balance between familiarity and honor in our relationships?
To strike this balance, maintain open communication with the people in your life, express gratitude, and consciously show respect for their unique qualities and contributions. Continually cultivate a mindset of humility and appreciation for others.

Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honor

Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honor

If we desire long life and prosperity, we must seek wisdom and understanding. Wisdom guides us in our journey through life and safeguards us from stumbling into the traps set by the enemy. Sadly, many people have lost their lives due to foolish choices and actions.

The book of Proverbs provides us with invaluable insights into the power of wisdom. Proverbs 3:16-17 states, "Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace." This verse emphasizes that wisdom brings not only long life but also wealth and honor.

The Power of Wisdom from Proverbs

The book of Proverbs provides us with invaluable insights into the power of wisdom. Proverbs 3:16-17 states, "Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace." This verse emphasizes that wisdom brings not only long life but also wealth and honor.

The Impact of Foolish Actions

Foolish actions, such as dabbling in the occult, using our tongues to speak negatively, or engaging in theft, directly affect our souls and bodies. On the other hand, wisdom grants us peace and helps us excel in all our endeavors. Proverbs 3:23-24 assures us, "Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet." Those who have wisdom sleep well, free from fear, knowing that the Lord will protect them and their ways.

Embracing Wisdom Leads to Favor and Success

The Bible highlights that embracing wisdom leads to favor, promotion, and honor in all aspects of life. Proverbs 4:7-9 advises, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honor when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee." This profound verse emphasizes the value of wisdom and its ability to elevate individuals to places of honor and distinction.

Unfortunately, some individuals reject God's word and suffer the consequences. The story of Saul serves as a cautionary tale. In 1 Samuel 15:22-23,35, we read how Saul's disobedience led to God's rejection of him as king. The Lord had anointed Saul to rule Israel, but Saul's rebellion and stubbornness caused God to withdraw His favor.

To ensure a blessed and prosperous life, we must heed the call to walk in wisdom. Just as Joseph and Daniel were elevated to positions of authority due to their wisdom and faithfulness, wisdom can enable us to lead successfully in various spheres. Whether building a family, a church, or any endeavor, wisdom paves the way for victory.

Choosing Wise Companions

Moreover, wisdom helps us choose our companions wisely, protecting us from evil influences. Proverbs 1:10-15 warns against associating with sinners who entice others to engage in wicked deeds. It cautions against those who seek to harm others for personal gain. We must refrain from such associations, for they can lead us down destructive paths.

Psalm 1:1-3 further emphasizes the importance of avoiding ungodly counsel and delighting in God's law. Those who meditate on His word day and night will be like a well-watered tree, bearing fruit in due season and prospering in all they do. Conversely, the ungodly, like chaff blown away by the wind, will face destruction.

How Wisdom Gives Honor

In the pursuit of long life and prosperity, wisdom plays a significant role in bestowing honor upon those who embrace it. The Scriptures are replete with instances where wisdom led individuals to positions of honor and influence. King Solomon is a prime example of someone who sought wisdom above all else. When God asked him what he desired, Solomon asked for wisdom to govern his people justly (1 Kings 3:9). Impressed by his request, God not only granted Solomon wisdom but also bestowed upon him riches, wealth, and honor beyond any king of his time (1 Kings 3:13).

A Life Honored by Wisdom

The story of Joseph in the book of Genesis is a remarkable testament to the honor that wisdom can bestow upon an individual. Despite facing betrayal and unjust circumstances, Joseph's wisdom and integrity shone through, eventually leading him to be second in command over all of Egypt (Genesis 41:39-43). His wisdom in interpreting dreams and managing resources during a severe famine brought great honor not only to him but also to his family and his people.

The Honor of Daniel: Exalted through Wisdom and Faithfulness

Daniel's life also exemplifies how wisdom can lead to great honor and influence. As a young exile in Babylon, Daniel demonstrated exceptional wisdom and understanding, earning him a place among King Nebuchadnezzar's advisors (Daniel 1:17-20). Throughout his life, Daniel's unwavering faithfulness to God and his wisdom in interpreting dreams and visions resulted in numerous promotions and recognition from successive rulers, including Darius and Cyrus (Daniel 6:1-3, Daniel 10:1).

Wisdom in Decision-Making and Leadership

Wisdom is not only about personal conduct but also about decision-making and leadership. In the biblical narrative, David, known as a man after God's own heart, sought wisdom in leading the nation of Israel. His reliance on God's wisdom and guidance enabled him to make sound decisions and led to a period of prosperity and honor for the nation (1 Chronicles 29:25).

Seeking wisdom is not limited to the earthly realm; it holds eternal significance as well. Proverbs 8:35 proclaims, "For whoever finds me [wisdom] finds life and obtains favor from the Lord." When we seek and embrace wisdom, we find life in all its fullness, and we experience the favor and honor that come from a life lived in alignment with God's principles.

 Conclusion

In conclusion, if we desire long life and prosperity, we must seek wisdom and understanding. Embracing wisdom not only protects us from harm but also leads us to favor, promotion, and success. Let us choose to walk in the fear of the Lord, obey His word, and surround ourselves with wise and godly companions. By doing so, we will experience the abundant blessings and prosperity that come from a life lived in wisdom and understanding.
